Short Term

In July 2008, Christ Church sent 64 volunteers to Pendleton County, West Virginia, to build homes with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity.  This was the fourth year Christ Church participated in the week-long mission trip and it was, once again, a very rewarding experience full of fellowship, dedicated service, and spiritual renewal. See the pictures below.

  • Collect for Purity

    Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. The Word

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

The Prayer

Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord's resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
