Bible Studies at Christ Church

There are many opportunities for Bible studies at Christ Church. See below to decide what is best for you:

Brown Bag Bible Study

An easy-entry Bible study every Wednesday at noon, with no homework and no experience necessary! Bring a bag lunch—drinks and desserts provided! Led by Marilu and Josh.

Men’s Bible Study

Meets at 7 AM on Thursdays in the Gibson Room and includes men of all ages. No background knowledge or membership required! Bodo’s bagels and coffee provided, with a side of stale jokes.

Women’s Bible Study

Meets every Thursday morning from 9am-10:30am starting September 14th.  We will spend the Fall looking at Galatians. You can come to this group anytime your schedule permits—so don’t be shy. It is a wonderful way to get to know other women at CEC. Contact Marilu for more information.

The BBC

You thought the Brits had the BBC market cornered; we have Broads, Bagels and Coffee (the Women’s Bible Study 7am Tuesdays). We will be starting up September 12th and will spend the fall looking at Corinthians. A great way to get to know other women in the congregation as well as experience the love and guidance of Bible study. No experience necessary! Come as you are—Bibles (coffee and bagels) provided. Centering Prayer will immediately follow. Contact Marilu with questions.

20s & 30s Bible Study

The 20s and 30s Bible study happens on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9pm. The first meeting takes place Tuesday Sept 12th. This is very much a come-as-you-are situation, and newcomers are more than welcome! We will be meeting in the church office (the Magruder House) at 100 West Jefferson Street.

Twenty-Something Women’s Bible Study

Join us for Backyard Bible Study! This fall, we will enjoy fellowship while studying Paul’s letter to the Galatians. We will meet on Thursday nights, starting September 14, from 7:00-8:30 at 115 E High Street (backyard entrance on 2nd St NE). Parking is available in the Christ Church lot on the corner of Jefferson St and 1st St. Come as you are! Contact Margaret Pope for more information (205-914-8718 or mmp298@gmail.com).
