There are many opportunities for Bible studies at Christ Church. See below to decide what is best for you:
Brown Bag Bible Study
A men and women’s group that meets in the Donovan Room on Wednesdays from 12:15-1pm (after the Mid-Week Holy Communion service). This is a come-when-you-can group designed for busy people in need of mid-day encouragement. Have you ever wondered who’s who in the bible? We will be looking at the book of Genesis, which tells us much about who’s who! No experience necessary! Bring your lunch (if you want)—drinks, desserts and bibles provided.
Men’s Bible Study
Meets at 7 AM on Thursdays in the Gibson Room and includes men of all ages. No background knowledge or membership required! Bodo’s bagels and coffee provided, with a side of stale jokes.
Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study
Want to know more about Satan and what he is up to? Join us for a study of The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. This is an engaging tale of how the Devil is training his nephew to be a first class tempter. We will begin on January 11, 2018 so mark your calendar! Thursdays, 9-10:30am with childcare. Books are available in the office and at the group for $10.
meets on Tuesday mornings at 7-7:45 am in the Donovan Room (new location). This Spring we will be studying Brené Brown’s book The Gifts of Imperfection. The subtitle of the book is “let go of who you think you’re supposed to be and embrace who you are,” which gives us a lens of grace to confront those voices of should, must, and have-to. Books are available for $10 in the office and at the group. All are welcome whenever you can make it!
20s & 30s Bible Study
The 20s and 30s Bible study happens on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9pm. The first meeting takes place. This is very much a come-as-you-are situation, and newcomers are more than welcome! We will be meeting in the church office (the Magruder House) at 100 West Jefferson Street.
