Stephen Kelly grew up in Miami, Florida, where he served on several local boards before heading north to Hamilton College in New York. There he double majored in Public Policy and Sociology as a Posse Foundation Scholar. He went on to earn his Master of Public Policy at UVA's Batten School, and now works as a Financial Assistance Specialist at Piedmont Housing Alliance, helping Charlottesville families with housing. His local work has also included affordable housing research for the City Manager's Office and coordinating a shared kitchen for food entrepreneurs. This year he's assisting with the youth group alongside the fellows.
