The early years of parenting are a many-splendored thing. It is an experience of tenderness and joy and newfound purpose. It is also a thick wilderness of sleep deprivation, failed expectations, and unpredictable emotional turbulence. We gain so much by raising these little bundles of joy—but we also wonder if we’ve lost our minds. For better and for worse, moms and dads everywhere feel a wide chasm between the parents they are, and the people they used to be. Is there a better way to navigate this transition?
If you have babies (aged 0 to 4th grade), or you plan to start a family in the next few years,, join us for coffee and bagels from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, September 25th in Meade Hall as Ethan and Marilu present on the psychospiritual tornado that is early parenthood. In the effort for both moms and dads to attend, we have childcare and nursery available. RSVP here, or email Ethan at ethan@christchurchcville.org with any questions!
