Senior Warden Report Keven Lindemann
Dear Christ Church Family,
What a year! For maybe the first time since the distant past (known as pre-COVID), it really felt like we were back. Those of you who attended the services on Christmas Eve can attest – we were back in big numbers! Between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we served close to 1,500 people. I can attest from the 5pm Christmas Eve service, there were times during the singing of hymns where the sanctuary seemed to levitate. It was absolutely magical. And the truth and reality is that we’re not “back” because we were never really gone. The church has been here, with five weekly communion services and virtual services and outreach ministries and soup kitchen and parish suppers and Bible studies and youth group and children’s chapel and adult ed…and the list goes on and on. And what you see and feel and hear at Christ Church is unchanging. The message is that grace is there for you, and that you are always welcome. We appreciate your support, through your pledges, through your volunteer efforts, through your simple presence here. Thank you!

Junior Warden Report Brian Tuskey
I have served as the church’s Junior Warden for the last few years, and my term has come to an end. Special thanks to the clergy and staff for their support, especially to Marcy and Lyn, whose tireless efforts to coordinate the work necessary for the upkeep of our buildings made my job easy. It has been a thrill and joy to see so many of you return to the church in person. The energy in services and around the church has been rejuvenating this year.
Consistent work on our aging building is always necessary, this year requiring the repair of roof damage and leaks, interior improvements throughout, and other necessary maintenance and upkeep. A couple notable improvements in the church are the installation of handrails at the altar steps and on the outside of the 2nd Street door by parishioner Paul McGill and the installation of specialty equipment to improve online streaming of Sunday services. New gutters and downspouts have also been installed throughout our church complex.
